Ancaster Agricultural Society
Welcome
to the Ancaster Agricultural Society (A.A.S.) website. The
A.A.S. in a non-profit volunteer run organization. The object
of the Ancaster Agricultural Society, and all Agricultural Societies, is
to encourage an awareness of agriculture and to promote improvements in
the quality of life of persons living in an agricultural
community. This is outlined in the Agricultural and Horticultural
Organizations Act.
The Ancaster Fair held the
3rd weekend after Labour Day each year is our primary event, but
that does not mean we are inactive the rest of the year. Many
committees are active all year either getting ready for the fair or
organizing other events.
The A.A.S. offers many opportunities
for young people, from fulfilling their mandatory high school volunteer
hours to applying for post secondary school scholarships.
There are also Junior
Directors that sit on our board and of course our Fair
Ambassador. So if you see yourself as a future community
leader or public figure, or just want to get involved come check us out.
